Inbound Exchange Students

How to Come to Huron as an Exchange Student:

1)  Make sure that your school is one of our partners

2)  Work with your school to submit your nomination to Huron

3)  Complete our application process

Application Process:

To apply to Huron, your school must send us an e-mail nominating you.  In addition, you will also need to submit an application package. Students will receive confirmation of acceptance within 2 weeks of submitting a complete application package.

The application package includes:

  • Admission form
  • Accommodation form
  • Official academic credentials and transcripts (showing courses and grades) from all universities attended. If the credentials and transcripts are not in English, we require official certified translations and accept these if accompanied by the document in the original language. 
  • One letter of recommendation (for example: from your teacher, professor, guidance counselor, school director or anyone familiar with your academic work).  
  • Photocopy of passport  
  • Two (2) passport sized photos
  • Emergency Contact form  
  • Course request form
Application packages can be submitted:

Application deadlines:

  • For entry into the 1st semester (September): April 1 of the year in question
  • For entry into the 2nd semester (January): October 1 of the year in question

Next Steps:

  • After receiving confirmation of acceptance, Huron will help you to select your courses and to create your timetable. Course selection timing depends on when you will be studying at Huron.
  • For entry into the 1st semester (September): June
  • For entry into the 2nd semester (January): October
